The Cedarlands notebook is named after the Cedarlands Boy Scout reservation located in Long Lake, NY.

Purchased by the Boy Scouts in 1963, Cedarlands has been a home away from home for thousands of young men for more than 50 years. The largest scout camp in the Adirondacks, the camp served as a basecamp for many high adventure treks.

Prior to its acquisition by the Boy Scouts, Cedarlands was one of the great Adirondack camps. In the photo above you can see the remains of the main lodge, which burned down several decades ago. The chimney was the nightly gathering place for generations of scouting families and friends.
